It would use natural gas, and I already have a big enough main gas pipe that ends right where I want to install the tankless. All I have to do is install the category III vent to the roof, which is about 10 feet up, and connect the gas and water. The problem is that I don’t know how to be sure I did everything right. If it looks right, and it works ok, what else do I need to do to insure that it’s safe?

Should I goto a tankless water heater?

I am about to replace my natural gas hot water tank. I am looking at going tankless. priced at about ,000 (for ability to run 2 showers at a time)

1. how much money in gas would I save?

2. how easy are they to install?

3. how well do they heat the water?

Or can anyone make recommendations for what I should buy or avoid?

How do I find "Termet" water heater manuals?

I was recently given a ‘Termet’ tankless gas water heater by a trusted colleague, who then was transferred to another part of the U.S.- I just need a manual so the man I hired can put it in. I’ve tried all the websites I can think of….

Gas tank in a Tankless Water Heater?

My new apartment has a furnace room inside the suite. It is a tankless water heater system that heats the water only when needed. However, I see that there is a small gas tank-like gray tank sitting on the floor. My landlord doesn’t know what that is and I don’t either, but would like to find out.

I live in BC, Canada, and so I assume Terasen brings it natural gas through underground pipes. Why would there be a gas tank in my suite? If it’s not a gas tank, anyone what it is and if I should be concerned with any safety issues?

The heater in our hot tub is not working. We would like to put in a natural gas dedicated hot water heater and wonder if a "tankless" model would work by just recycling the water? It would be a lot cheaper than buying a new hot tub heater. Plumbing not a problem…just don’t know if this would work. Thanks in advance.

Line from utility to meter is 3/4". Line to house starts with short length of 1", then reduces to 3/4". run of pipe frm service to heater aprox. 50′, with 8 elbows/tees. There is already a 1" line under house, off of 3/4" from meter, to spa heater in back yard. If I need 1” for heater, can I tee off existing 1" line, or am I limited by 3/4′ from meter. length of run from possible tee is aprx. 25′, with 2 elbows, to flex line to heater.

I was ready to have tankless water heater installed by one company, but when i had the other plumber over for estimate, he said that we have to change the gas line to 3/4" pipe to install tankless water heater. Who is right?

I want to switch my old tank water heater to a new tankless unit. I have read they save money on your hot water bill and provide hot water that never ends (a girls dream). Everywhere I look on the Internet I see the Titan Tankless Water Heater with glowing reviews. Can anyone tell me about it, tankless in general, gas or electric?

I am looking to replace a 40 gallon gas water heater (tank) and I was either going to go with a 70 gallon tank or try a whole house tankless. I have read that the ground water temperature affects their performance and was wondering if anyone in Chicago has installed a whole house tankless and what their experience has been. Would you caution against or recommend?

Would like to know which one is most efficient. How many appliances can work on a single unit.

I have to get a new water heater soon. I saw that their are new tankless water heater, but they seem that they would cost more to run because they are electrical, where a traditional water heater runs on gas.

is it time to get a new one, even duo this one works fine. I’m worried because of its age that it not energy efficient.
Also if i do replace it, should i replace it with with a a electric tankless water heater, or should i replace it with a new gas r electric water ??heater?

I want to buy a tankless gas water heater for a house I will sell in 5 years. Will I recoup the difference in price over a new conventional gas water heater in 5 years?

The price difference is 0, which is 0 per year to make up in energy savings, or a month. Will the energy efficient tankless gas water heater save me that much every month?

It is hard to know what proportion of the gas bill goes toward the water heater now. I am in Michigan which has snowy winters, so the savings is potentially greater in some months. I want to know if I will average at least a month in savings on gas bills via this purchase.

Thanks for sharing your insight.

Introducing the NEWEST Noritz tankless gas water heater, the N-0842MC series. This unit is the latest in tankless water heaters featuring the new super-efficient CONDENSING technology. It is over 93% efficient compared to a traditional tankless which is about 83% efficient. This unit’s condensing heat exchanger is 100% stainless steel, unlike others which use copper/stainless with a non-stainless steel casing – which will corrode over time. The temperature stability is unmatched. The flow rates are unmatched. The water pressure is unmatched. The BEST condensing tankless available on the market today! CONDENSING technology’s higher efficiency significantly lowers the exhaust temperature, therefore less-expensive PVC can be used for its venting. Available in Natural Gas and Propane models only. ATTENTION!!! Traditional tankless water heaters CANNOT use PVC – it will cause the unit to fail and void the warranty. Category III stainless steel venting MUST be used on non-condensing traditional tankless water heaters. For more info visit: noritz.com

electric or tankless water heater?

my gas water heater needs to be replaced ASAP. Can anyone reccomend a good electric 40 gal tank or a electric tankless water heater for a mobile home with two adults and one child…….hopefully under 0?

I wanted to stick to the amount of the stimulus check that we received if possible. Is it better to buy from a store such as Home Depot or from a plumber?

tankless water heaters- gas or electric?

i live and maintain apartments in SoCal. have to replace a water heater and want to go tankless. any help appreciated

This was custom build as a xmas present for a small off-grid home that has no power to spare and no water pressure. It is a prototype so could easily look much better. It could easily be adapted for camping or as a permanent setup in a cabin or off-grid home and would work and look even better. For details about construction, the parts required, and more, visit www.techienation.com . There will be details there shortly.
